A piois defense of life
Abstract
The sentenee by the Colombian Constitutional Court that legalized euthanasia under eertain eonditions, has been given by virtue of ideologieal pluralism, but sueh principIe eannot ineorrectly estimate nor offend other general legal principIes, like the one of natural fairness, eonsidered to be the highest criterion on the interpretation of legal norms. Within the pluralism that eorresponds to believers, merey is the way Cod loves men, and if the human heart tends sometimes to be merey, it demonstrates with that inclination the truth to be done aeeording to the measurement of his ereator. The referenees in the sentenee eoneerning religious eoneepts make usthink that there exists an invincible prejudiee against Christian thought in the Constitutional Court.
