Abstract

The thesis of this paper affirms that literature, one of the main elements of culture, must be anthropotelic. The author explains the bonds between culture and literature, and demonstrates the importance of axiology in their evolution. He explains the function of the being in literature and its anthropological conceptions. Literature helps man to question the existing hierarchy of values in contemporary culture, and also contributes in man’s search for the truth, for the self knowledge, and for the knowledge of the world he lives in.
