El perdón difícil: propuesta ética y política de Ricoeur
Abstract
Forgiveness is hard, because it is the result of an equation between how deep che fault and how high the forgiveness. For the philosopher Paul Ricoeur, forgiveness demands memory and rejects forgetfulness. Forgiveness demands memory since it allows as well as requires facing the past representation of the problem on historical grounds. And it rejects forgetting, because it assumes the fault existence which has given origin to the man's inactivity, which is intended to be overcome by the forgiveness act. This way, forgiveness goes beyond the horizon of difficulty, because it means a new argument which brakes into the political reality, transforming man's action.
