Las emociones de la antigüedad griega

Abstract

This article investigates the nature of emotions in classical Greek, in comparison to modern conceptions of the emotions. Two emotions are taken as test cases: pity and, more extensively, anger. Taking Aristotle' s discussion of anger as a point of departure, 1 argue that it can shed light on the interpretation of Greek literature, in particular Homer's Iliad.
