Abstract

This paper deals with the connection between the supernatural sense of the faith of God's People, according to the II Vatican Council documents and to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, or sensus fidei since Vincent de Lernis, the infallible teaching, and the canonizations or the "dogmatic facts." It also discusses the incidence of the sensus fidei on the homogeneous development of the dogma and on popular devotions, specifically on that of Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer.

Author Biography

Alberto Raventós Utjes

Médico graduado en la Facultad de Cádiz (1995). Fue ordenado sacerdote el 4 de agosto de 1974. Después de cursar estudios eclesiásticos en Roma, se doctoró en Teología en la Universidad de Navarra. Fue Vice Canciller de la Universidad de La Sabana de 1981 a 1992. Miembro de Honor de la Academia Colombiana de Educación desde el 27 de agosto de 1992. Investigador y autor de varios títulos sobre el campo de la teología.
