Abstract

The symptoms of the voracious and busy world we live in stand out when we focus the experience of the time that characterizes it. Awareness of the unique reality of the present instant's time, restores for freedom the control of one's own life. Although open to lost and to forthcoming instants, exasperation of the past and the future determines individual and collective disorders that encourage a freedom-deprived, mechanized and even fatalistic existence.

Author Biography

Víctor H. Palacios Cruz

Licenciado en Ciencias de la Educación y Bachiller en Historia por la Universidad de Piura (Perú), Diplomado en Filosofía y Máster e Artes Liberales con Mención en Filosofía por la Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona, España). Sus campos de investigación son: la filosofía de la historia, el estudio filosófico de la muerte humana, el pensamiento antropológico-político de Hannah Arendt y la relación entre escritura y comprensión de la vida en la obra del escritor peruano Julio Ramón Ribeyro. Ha participado en diferentes reuniones científicas en Perú, Uruguay y Colombia, y diversos trabajos suyos han aparecido en publicaciones académicas de estos países y España.
