Abstract

In a dialogue about the origin and meaning of metaphysics, the reader can notice the rigor of the philosophical knowledge and the value that the understanding of the reality have to it. In the development of the question about the principIe of the reality and with the development of the concept of being -in the horizon of the pre-Socratic discussion and platonic-aristotelian and the medieval interpretation especially represented by Thomas Aquinas- the author stresses the effective possibility that all men have to aspire to the truth.

Mieczyslaw Krapiec, Andrzej Maryniarczyk

Andrzej Maryniarczyk, Es discípulo y continuador creativo del padre M. A. Krapiec. Es profesor en la Universidad Católica de Lublin y allí mismo dirige la Cátedra de Metafísica. Miembro del Consejo Editorial de la revista Czlowiek w kulturze (El hombre en la cultura). Autor de los estudios: Metoda separacji a metafizyka (Método de separación y la metafísica), System metafizyki (Sistema de la metafísica).

Mieczyslaw Krapiec, Entró a la Orden de los Dominicos. Estudió filosofía en el Colegio de los Dominicos en Cracovia y en la Universidad Católica de Lublin. Se doctoró en filosofía en la Universidad de Santo Tomás en Roma, en 1946. Dos años más tarde hizo doctorado en Teología en la Universidad Católica de Lublin. Fue nombrado profesor de esta casa de estudios en 1968 y, luego, Rector entre los años 1970-1983. Es considerado como fundador de la renombrada mundialmente Escuela Filosófica de Lublin. Es autor de numerosísimas publicaciones, entre otras: Teoría de la analogía del ser, Realismo del conocimiento humano, ¿Por qué el mal?, Estructura del ser, Metafísica, Concepción aristotélica de la substancia, El hombre y el derecho natural, El ser y la esencia, Recuperar el mundo real, El hombre en la cultura, La libertad humana y sus fronteras, muchas de ellas traducidas a varios idiomas. Condecorado con máximas distinciones en muchos países. Miembro de la Academia Polaca de Ciencias, Academia Pontificia de Santo Tomás, Academia Europea de Ciencias. Doctor honoris causa de la Universidad de Toronto, Universidad de Lovaina y del Instituto Pedagógico de Tarnopol.
